The purpose of the present work is twofold. On a first stage, it aims at highlighting the\r\ncorruption-related issues in terms of its definitions and different perceptions with respect to\r\nsome economic theories, while stressing the specific factors lying behind the spread of such\r\npractice in the Arab countries. Actually, an emphasis has been put through this research on\r\npoverty, illiteracy, low incomes, poor governance, absence of strong powerful institutions and\r\nState of right and democracy, more generally the prevalence of a rent based economy, in\r\naddition to the impact of special socio-cultural beliefs and practices pertinent to Arab countries\r\nthat constitute the major reasons leading to the aggravation of such blight throughout the whole\r\nregion. Moreover, relying on an empirical study based on panel data model over the period\r\n2005 to 2010, this paper tends to show that there does really exist a statically-significant\r\nrelationship between the riser development size in corruption measured by the corruption\r\nperception index as a dependent variable, and the human development index, press freedom\r\nindex and inflation rate as independent variables. On a second stage, some regulatory\r\nrecommendations have been advanced within the scope of this work, likely to help fight against\r\nsuch a phenomenon by pointing out and curbing its subjacent latent roots, thus drawing these\r\ncountries efforts, precautions measures and attention more on the rather preventive measures\r\ni.e. on economic policy and institutional reforms while stressing the role of taking further\r\nincentives....
The rapid growth of telework or working from home (WFH) is inspired by the growth in\r\nknowledge-based economy, rapid technology progress, virtual operations and digital\r\nworkforce. The original push on teleworking as a tool for cutting traffic congestion and\r\nimproving air quality did not lead to large-scale adoption of teleworking in Malaysia. Indeed the\r\nresearch of WFH in Malaysia is scarce and its implementation among the organizations almost\r\nunavailable even though the nation is moving towards promoting green economy. However,\r\nwith the sustainability and green concerns, teleworking can be considered a part of firms\r\nstrategic and innovative to enhance competitive advantage which may lead to economic and\r\nenvironmental improvement. Thus the emerging trend for sustainable growth (e.g. quality\r\neducation, modern workforce, green innovation, knowledge and digital society) has inspired\r\nthis research to seek the benefits of working from home (WFH), factors that trigger WFH and\r\nbasic requirements for WFH to be initiated have been unearthed by many researchers and\r\nimplemented by many developed countries in the world. This paper explores the literature on\r\nWFH in some of the developed countries and the topic of WFH in Malaysian scenario is\r\ndiscussed by proposing a framework for future research to be carried out by Malaysian\r\norganizations....
The paper discusses the study of nature of cycling of socio-economic changes and is focused\r\non coordination of fragmentary concepts of development of various fields of human activity.\r\nTaking into account multidisciplinary nature of this paper, the study was carried out using\r\nqualitative research methods. The article offers the concept of economics and society\r\nevolution in the form of a holistic picture of socio-economic changes, where public\r\nworldview is an endogenous evolution factor, and solar activity is an exogenous factor.\r\nSocio-economic changes from the middle of 17th century to the present day are described in\r\nthe form of eight successive stages of a large evolutionary cycle (400-440 years). Presented\r\nconcept is based on a poly-objective approach of evolution of Being, therefore social and\r\neconomic development is treated as a natural part of the process of Universal Evolution.\r\nGenerality of the proposed evolution concept makes it possible to use it in other fields of\r\nknowledge....
The paper suggests the hypothesis that increasing level of social unease which can be seen in\r\nthe world since the start of Arab spring is directly related to dynamics of informal economy.\r\nSubsequently in the paper some other suggestions are tested, including relation between the\r\nlevel of social unease and level of economic freedom, interrelation between the level of\r\ncorruption and social unease which were not proven to be true. Quantitative testing of the\r\nabove mentioned hypothesis proved there is direct relation between dynamics of informal\r\neconomy and level of social unease.\r\nAlso the paper deals with the role of information accessibility, and it is defined that limitations\r\nof information access influence the informal economy dynamics influence on social unease\r\nlevel. It is also suggested in the paper, and some argumentation is provided that current social\r\nunease is based on changing values and beliefs and informal economy dynamics is an important\r\nindicator of that process....

The\r\nreorganization process is aimed to increase the regions competitiveness and to optimize the\r\nadministrative costs. This paper is focused on a research study made in The North East Region\r\nof Development from Romania, which is situated at the bottom of EU Regions ranking, with an\r\naverage GDP per inhabitant lower than 50 % of the EU-27 average. This region covers an area of\r\n3.684.983 ha representing 15.45% of the total area of the country and from demographically\r\npoint of view is the first among the eight regions of the country, with a population of 3.700.695\r\ninhabitants in 2012, representing 17.32% of the total population of Romania.
